As per WABetaInfo’s report, the Communities feature in WhatsApp is currently under development and will be available on WhatsApp beta for iOS and Android with a future update. However, it is not yet live for beta testers. Now, as explained by WABetaInfo, the Communities feature will primarily be an extension of WhatsApp groups. However, unlike groups on the messaging platform, Communities on WhatsApp will give admins more control over them, allowing them to merge multiple groups and bring them under a unified umbrella.

WhatsApp’s Unread Chats Filter Now Official WhatsApp’s iOS app and Web version now have a new filter, which will show the unread chats. This option resides next to the search bar at the top. Once the unread messages appear, another option to clear the filter will also appear. The new filter joins the existing media filters like Photos, GIFs, Links, Videos, Documents, and Audio. We were able to see the new filter on both an iPhone and the web.

WhatsApp Business Adds Cover Photo on Android According to a recent report by WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp Business beta (version 2.22.14.6) update for Android includes the new Cover Photo feature. It lets WhatsApp business users add an additional cover image to their profiles, much like how you can add cover images for your Facebook or Twitter profile. The cover image shows up as a wide image behind the profile picture and provides an additional visual flair to business profiles on WhatsApp.
