How Many Arcs Does Fairy Tail Have?
Fairy Tail tells the story of Lucy Heartfilia, who joins the popular Fairy Tail Guild to embark on an epic journey with her newfound friends. Similar to another Shonen blockbuster, Naruto, Fairy Tail also has a sequel series titled “Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest.” So, there are 27 arcs in total with over 700 chapters and 340 episodes.

What Arc is the Fairy Tail Anime Adapting?
After the original series ended in 2019, the Fairy Tail anime finally returned in 2024 with the adaptation of the sequel manga by Hiro Mashima and Atsuo Ueda. At the time of writing, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is almost done adapting Moon Dragon God Arc with the release of Episode 25 in Season 1.
