The company says the Android version of the app already has 100,000 downloads. It works in a pretty simple manner. Doublepoint Technologies has partnered with Bosch Sensortec to integrate their gesture-recognition algorithms into the latter’s smart inertial measurement units (IMUs). In addition to the watchOS app, Doublepoint has updated the underlying framework with crucial improvements. The static accuracy went up to 97%, while mid-walk and running figures have raised to 94% and 95% respectively.

It’s worth knowing that Apple already offers a Double Tap system, which allows wrist-based feature controls on the Apple Watch. However, this functionality is limited to the Apple Watch Ultra 2, Apple Watch Series 9, and newer models.
