Daredevil Born Again Who Kills The White Tiger
Did the Punisher Kill White Tiger in Daredevil: Born Again?
In the final few scenes of the latest episode of Daredevil: Born Again, we see that Hector once again puts on his suit and goes out patrolling at night. However, just before the credits roll in the third episode of Daredevil: Born Again, we see that White Tiger is shot dead by an unknown assailant wearing a Punisher vest with the skull symbol. Now, by the looks of it, this might look like The Punisher is the one who killed White Tiger, but things cannot be that simple.
Since the second episode of Born Again, we have seen that some police officers have the Punisher logo tattooed on them. These are the ones who think what The Punisher did was right and idolise him.
It could be that one of those officers killed the White Tiger while wearing a Punisher vest. There is no confirmation yet that the real Punisher is the one who killed Hector Ayala in Daredevil: Born Again. Moreover, Wilson Fisk made it clear that he wants to kill the White Tiger, and there is no way that The Punisher will take a hit job from someone like The Kingpin.
How Did the White Tiger Die in Marvel Comics?
In Marvel Comics, we have seen The White Tiger, especially Hector Ayala’s death, twice. Initially, we see that Hector Ayala was killed by ‘Kraven The Hunter’ in the Spectacular Spider-Man’s comic run. Later on, Hector Ayala returned in 2002 with Daredevil’s comic run titled Trial of The Century, a three-part comic run which has been loosely adapted by Daredevil: Born Again’s arc till now.
The story has been changed to a great extent, but even the comic book features Hector being arrested for the murder of a cop, which he did not do. However, in the comic version, Hector was ruled guilty, and when he tried to run away from the court, he was shot by the cops and died in Matt Murdock’s arms. He was later ruled not guilty after Matt made it his mission to prove Hector’s innocence.
So now that Hector Ayala has been killed, one might think that it’s the end for The White Tiger, but there is a good chance that one of his family members, Angela Del Toro, Hector’s niece, or Ava Ayala will take up the mantle of the White Tiger.
