Deadlock Infernus Build Best Items And Abilities

Best Infernus Item Build in Deadlock

Note: You can find this build in Deadlock by searching ‘Beebom Infernus Build‘ (ID: 144604) in the Public Builds section. You can either directly use our guide or copy it and edit it as per your need, from the game’s Browse Build section.

Best Laning/Early Game Items

In the laning phase, as Infernus, your key focus is pinching enemies regularly while you farm. To do it efficiently, you will need enough spirit power to combine with your passive and first skill. To have sustainable early spirit power, get the Hollow Point Ward, Enduring Spirit, Extra Charge, and Extra Spirit. These items should be enough for you to stay in the lane for a longer duration. You must also get the Extra Stamina to keep getting in and out of early fights.
Although Infernus is a massive tank in the late game, he is squishy early on. For that reason, some enemies might counter-push you in the early stages. To increase your laning survivability, you can also get an Extra Regen or a Healing Rite. In case you are solo laning, Restorative Shot can be a solid option too.

Best Core/Mid-Game Items

Just as you enter the mid-game phase, your priority is to get Toxic Bullets ASAP from the weapon items. With the bleed combined with burn, no enemy can tolerate such pain. Right after that, add the Quicksilver Reload effect to your first skill. As you will already have three charges with the Extra Charge, you can keep fighting without the worry of running out of ammo. If you are having a solid time and the enemy is not pushing you up, Soul Shredder Bullets will add more injury to the damage you inflict. However, in most cases, the enemy will try to come at you. In such cases, get the Spirit Lifesteal before this and survive longer in fights. You must also add a Suppressor to the mix to slow down enemies and make them an easier target to hit.
In some games, you will encounter annoying healers like Abrams, Shiv, or Dynamo. To deal with them, you can get the Healbane or Decay. The Reactive Barrier on the other hand is useful against stuns like Wraith or Mo and Krill, thanks to its insane shield on control abilities. If you want to go more aggressive, Slowing Bullets will complement your Suppressor.

Best Late Game Items

If you are having a good farming game, your first late-game item should be Ricochet. This will help you inflict the burn and bleed damage on everyone in the enemy team, resulting in massive lifesteal for you as well. In case you are low on the farm, get Burst Fire and increase your fire rate to build up the burn and bleed faster on enemies.
Now, this is where your burn damage scaling will go higher. Once you have Ricochet and Burst Fire, get Improved Spirit to increase your total spirit power as it increases damage for all of your abilities. Right after that, upgrade Extra Charge to Rapid Recharge and Suppressor to Mystic Slow. In case you need more fire rate before the need to slow down enemies, get Surge of Power.
While this should be enough to deal a lot of damage, in some games you might have to chase down enemies to kill them. In those situations, having the Healing Booster can increase your survivability. You can also upgrade your Extra Stamina to Superior Stamina if enemies are counter-chasing you frequently. Moreover, having a Superior Duration on your passive can make the burn damage last longer.

Infernus Situational/Flex Slot Items

Once you have fire rate and spirit power scaling sorted, Leech is the ideal vitality item for Infernus. As you must deal both bullet and spirit damage, Leech’s life steal will increase your survivability. However, if the enemy team constantly keeps dealing bullet damage and your resistance is not enough, prioritize Escalating Resilience. After you get these two items, Spiritual Overflow will add up to your already burst spirit power and fire rate.
To increase your burn damage further and amplify all other damages, get spirit items like Escalating Exposure and Boundless Spirit. If you have a good headshot percentage, swap out the resilience with Crippling Headshot to amplify both your bullet and spirit damage. Other late-game situational items for Infernus are Silencer, Torment Pulse, and Siphon Bullets.
Get Torment Pulse if you are playing as a front liner or get the Siphon Bullets if opponents have a lot of tanks. Build Silencer only if the enemy teams have a lot of crowd control abilities that you must stop before engaging in fights.

Deadlock Infernus Build: Abilities and Unlock Order

Here is a detailed overview of all Infernus abilities and the Ability Point Order in which you must unlock the abilities in Deadlock:

All Infernus Abilities

Infernus Ability Point Order

To be a great Infernus is to be good at aiming down enemies. Well, I say that because almost half the game you will kill enemies based on your Afterburn. That is why we suggest you unlock it first and try to get it to level 2 ASAP. With the +1s burn duration, you can melt down enemies quite easily. Alongside the passive, Catalyst will complement how you initiate or refresh your ammo. Get Catalyst to level 1 and unlock another charge. This will help you slow enemies further while you burn them down. Once you have unlocked both the Flame Dash and Concussive Combustion abilities, wait till your 3rd and 1st abilities are maxed out. Until the late game arrives, your ultimate will be just a situational stun while the dash will help you in and out of fights. However, once all abilities are maxed out, Infernus can be unkillable with all the massive life steal and damage.
