Best Early Game Items
Ivy is great with the last hits in the lane, thanks to her quick-fire rate. However, you can farm it up even faster with an early Extra Charge and Mystic Reach to boost up your Kudzu Bomb. Get an early Mystic Vulnerability as well if you are playing aggressively with a stunner in your team. This can guarantee you a lot of kills. Extra Regen can be an ideal early item to sustain in the lane and transfer healing between your allies.
If you think your bullet damage does not feel enough, you can get Hollow Point Ward, which can also increase your spirit power. Before the side neutrals spawn, make sure you have the Enchanter’s Barrier for a burst of spirit damage. In some cases, Extra Regen might not feel enough for survival. You can go for a Restorative Shot or Healing Rite and sell it later in the game.
Best Core/Mid-Game Items
Rapid Recharge and Improved Cooldown are the core items for Ivy. With less cooldown on your abilities, you can support your team in getting guaranteed picks. With fewer fights, you can get Soul Shredder Bullets and Kinetic Dash to gank on solo heroes on the map. To survive more in fights, get the Spirit Lifesteal and gain HP back for all the massive damage you deal.
Best Late Game Items
If you are struggling with the farm, you can get the Superior Cooldown upgrade first to get your abilities available regularly. Otherwise, immediately go for the Escalating Exposure to amp up your bomb damage and melt down enemies. Upgrade your Extra Regen into the Return Fire to get enough tank chances during the flight or chase down.
As a gank hero, you must get the Fortitude to get a lot of health for fights and passive regeneration. Imbue Improved Reach and Surge of Power on your Kudzu Bomb to get more spirit power and a massive range for the bomb. During this stage, upgrade your Kinetic Dash to Arcane Surge and Soul Shredder Bullets to Spellslinger Headshots. Both these items will increase your spirit amp and power for a lot of bursts of damage. If your Flex slots are available, get the Boundless or Reverb first.
Ivy Situational Items

Kudzu Bomb is Ivy’s signature. So, whether you are going to support or carry, you must unlock and max it first. This is still one of the most broken abilities in the game. As Ivy, you have no proper laning stage. That means you must gank as soon as your ultimate ability unlocks. You can max your ultimate ability after that and guarantee an AOE silence.
If your team comes with a lot of tanks, you can go with the Watcher’s Covenant first. This will give your teammates a health and fire rate boost. However, in most games, you will need to capitalize your stun to shut down enemies like Vindicta or Seven. As you always start from a flying state, it is easier for you to guarantee a knockdown on them.
