Best Early Game Items
Paradox deals more damage with his carbine ability when it is a headshot. That is why start the game with Headshot Booster and High-Velocity Mag. Upgrade the damage even further with Mystic Burst. By the time you unlock your ultimate, ensure you have Mystic Reach for easier execution.
For better movements, get Extra Stamina and Sprint Boots. If you have a hard lane, you can get the Healing Rite or Extra Regen for better survivability.
Best Core/Mid-Game Items
Mystic Shot and Enchanter’s Barrier are the two core items you must get with Paradox. However, if you want to play more farm-centric, you should get the Combat Barrier first. Otherwise, get Veil Walker and go hunting. Headhunter will increase your carbine damage, making it easier to kill. Lower your ability cooldowns with Improved Cooldown and get Enduring Speed to go in and out of ganks easily.
Best Late Game Items
For more damage and stats with better movement options, get Warp Stone once you reach the late stage. If you already have enough farm, get the Crippling Headshot first for more damage amp. Get all the upgrades after that.
This includes items like Superior Cooldown, Improved Burst, and Improved Reach. Imbue the cooldown on carbine while the better reach will help you execute easier ultimate. Buy a Fortitude as well to increase survivability.
Paradox Luxury Items
If the fight is getting too hard, you can start with Curse or get a Diviner’s Kevlar to have a better defense when you use Ultimate. However, if you are snowballing, get the Glass Cannon and get more damage stacks or Arcane Surge first for a guaranteed spirit damage buff for your carbine shot.
Paradox Situational Items
Reactive Barrier is a great item against crowd control heroes. Debuff Remover can help you get rid of negative buffs, which can be great against Shiv, Infernus, or Pocket. If you are getting ganked in the early game, get Divine Barrier. For more kill chase, get Decay or Knockdown and combine them with your ultimate carbine combination.
Deadlock Paradox Build: Abilities and Unlock Order

All Paradox Abilities
Paradox Ability Point Order
Unlike any other heroes in Deadlock, Paradox has an overall ideal kit. This means you will need all the abilities for a perfect combo of damage and constant pressure. However, Kinetic Carbine should be the priority ability to help you deal massive damage to enemies. You must get it to T3 ASAP to get the bonus damage Amplification.
Additionally, all the abilities can be upgraded depending on the game’s situation. The bomb will be more valuable if the game constantly throws team fights at you. Otherwise, upgrade the wall for more objective advantages and ultimate combinations.
