Deadlock Viscous Build Best Items And Abilities
Best Viscous Item Build in Deadlock
Note: You can find this build in Deadlock by searching ‘Beebom Viscous Build‘ (ID: 160203) in the Public Builds section. You can either directly use our guide or copy it and edit it as per your need, from the game’s Browse Build section.
Best Laning/Early Game Items
Viscous has a terrible fire rate and with Rapid Rounds, you can easily fix it right away. This item will also give you a good movement speed buff. You can get the Sprint Boots to add more m/s to it. As a Viscous, you can dominate your lane with a healing ability but if you get Healing Rite, you will never have to leave the lane. Get the Mystic Reach as well to have more range with your splatter and the chance to heal allies from a distance.
Your third skill counts as a light punch, so having a Spirit Strike will guarantee you some spirit amp. Boost the amp up with the Soul Shredder Bullets and deal more damage with the Enchanter’s Barrier. If you are struggling in the lane for some farms, you can always get the Monster Rounds. If you are babysitting, you can amp up your healing with Healing Booster.
Best Core/Mid-Game Items
Upgrade the Healing Rite to Healing Nova as soon as you are done with the early items. This will increase your ability duration and range. To bump up your ability duration and cooldown, get the Duration Extender and Improved Cooldown. If you can close in on enemies easily, you can opt for the Melee Charge first. To increase your sprint speed, upgrade the Sprint Boots to Enduring Speed and get the Mystic Shot to get some spirit power as well. Once you have them, further up your spirit amp with Mystic Vulnerability. If the enemy team has a lot of healing heroes, get either Healbane or Decay fast.
Best Late Game Items
Viscous is a great utility hero but being a frontline character, you must get a Warp Stone to reposition or escape as per situations. You can use this item while in Goo Ball as well. As soon as you get this, move on to Spirit Lifesteal and Improved Reach. The reach will increase your Goo ball size, making it easier to hit enemies and stun them.
Superior Duration and Superior Cooldown are two of the key items on Viscous. If you are playing a healer, get them on your cube. In case you are focusing on stunning enemies with your ultimate then add it to your ultimate. Otherwise, imbue them to your splatter and constantly spam it in team fights.
With that, get Improved Spirit to get raw spirit power that increases damage to all your abilities. After that, get Spiritual Overflow to increase your fire rate and spirit power to destroy enemies more in the later stages of the game. If the enemies are dealing a lot with bullet damage, you can get the Metal Skin or go more aggressively with the Torment Pulse.
Viscous Situational/Flex Slot Items
If you dominate the game, you can go with the Boundless Spirit and Colossus. However, Diviner’s Kevlar can be a better option if you intend to go in with your ultimate and the enemies are strong as well. You can also get the Magic Carpet to further upgrade the range of your abilities and a massive movement boost. To tank up more, get Fortitude before the carpet. If the enemy team is building a better spirit resistance, you can swap your Boundless Spirit with Point Blank and Crippling Headshot. These items will increase your bullet damage and give more amplification. In case you are playing from a distance, add the Mystic Reverb to your splatter for more value. You can also get a Phantom Strike if the enemy team has flying enemies.
Deadlock Viscous Build: Abilities and Unlock Order
Here is a detailed overview of all Viscous abilities and the Ability Point Order in which you must unlock the abilities in Deadlock:
All Viscous Abilities
Viscous Ability Point Order
The best way to be a solid Viscous is by constantly poking the enemy with the splatter. Make sure you have it unlocked till T2, as that gives you bonus damage. While upgrading it, you must also T1 paddle punch for an extra punch count. The punch can help both in an attack or when running away from enemies.
With a T1 punch and a T2 splatter, max your Goo ball. Your ultimate ability in max level lets you cast items and abilities while rolling. This can help you become the best utility hero in your team and bring out a lot of value. If your team needs a healer and already has better initiators, max the heal first. Especially if you are against a Pocket, maxing heal first can guarantee a free debuff remover.
