Outside the Canvas Start, End Date, and Unlock Requirements

Outside the Canvas event started on July 29 and will end on August 8, 2024. There are 14 stages, each unlocking every day between the start and the end dates, with the final stages unlocking on August 6. You must finish this event before the end date, otherwise, you won’t be able to get all the event rewards.
To unlock and play the Outside of the Canvas event, you must first finish the Archon Quest Prologue Act 3 — Song of the Dragon and Freedom, while also being at least Adventure Rank 18.

How to Play the Outside the Canvas Event

Head to Romartime Harbor and interact with Asagiri. Finish the conversation with her to start the event. During the event, you will need to take photos of specific things using the Kamera tool in the game. Every stage will have a specific location and a set of targets that you need to follow when capturing the photo.
For example, Stage 1’s location is Windrise in Mondstadt, so first head to that location. The next set of targets is the Great Tree of Windrise, Charged attack, and Anemo character or character from Mondstadt.

So, first, you need to make sure that the Great Tree of Windrise is in the backdrop of the photo. Next, use an Anemo character or character from Mondstadt, for the photo. Characters like Anemo Traveler or Kaeya can work. Make sure the character is facing towards the camera. Now, perform a Charged attack with the character and take the photo.

Once you have done all the above steps, you will have finished Stage 1. Continue finishing the other stages similarly to complete the event.
