Gta 6 Speculated Pre Order And Price Details
GTA 6 Speculated Pre-Order Details
Unfortunately, much like the cross-platform details, we can only make some educated guesses regarding the GTA 6 pre-order and its price. Based on past launch editions, we can draw some correlations to what you can pre-order when the game is eventually listed.
When GTA 5 opened itself for pre-orders, there were three editions you could purchase. This included the Standard, Special, and Collector’s Editions. The standard pre-order came with the game, a manual, and a map. The special edition gave players the game, a blueprint map, some in-game digital items, and a steel book. The collector’s edition gave you more digital items, everything from the special edition, a security bag, and a Los Santos cap.
Red Dead Redemption 2 also followed a similar release edition cycle. In addition to the standard edition, you could buy a special edition, an ultimate edition, and a collector’s edition.
As such, Rockstar clearly likes releasing various versions of the games with appropriate buyer incentives attached to them. Hence, we expect similar pre-order launch options for GTA 6. This means we should get a special, ultimate, and collector’s edition.
GTA 6 Speculated Pre-Order Release Date
Rockstar unveiled GTA 5 pre-orders for PS3/Xbox 360 in November 2012. There was a one-year gap between the pre-order and the release.
Since GTA 6 is also coming out two years after the December 2023 announcement, we expect GTA 6 pre-orders to start sometime in late 2024 and continue until the eventual launch. This will fit the usual GTA pre-order timeline while giving everyone enough time to prepare for the game.
GTA 6 Speculated Price
Besides the pre-orders, the biggest thing we all want to know is the expected GTA 6 pricing. When GTA 5 launched for consoles, it was $59.99 and $69.99 for both editions, respectively. The pricing carried over to the PS4 and Xbox One launches. However, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S editions were bumped to $70.
Given Rockstar’s previous trend, we expect GTA 6 to have a starting price of $69.99. The eventual special editions might get a markup of $10. So, if Rockstar Games launches a special and ultimate edition, they should sell for $79.99 and $89.99, respectively. Of course, judging how the industry keeps evolving, this price might increase.
Currently, most collector’s editions are normally priced between $210 without the game and $250+ with the game. We expect the collector’s edition to launch around $250. As such, since Rockstar Games has a history of launching GTA 5 and RDR 2 collector’s editions, we expect the price point to follow that range.
