How To Fish In Fortnite
How to Catch Fish in Fortnite
Assuming you already know where to get Fortnite fishing rods and the best fishing spots, let’s begin teaching you how to fish in Fortnite:
Look at a rod barrel and press the Interact button (E) to grab a Fishing Rod. Once done, walk up to the water. Once done, hold down the shoot button, aim the blue line at your desired fishing spot, and release it to cast. Once you see a bobble in the water or feel a vibration, press the shoot button again to retrieve your prize.
Fishing in Fortnite isn’t just about relaxation (though finding a quiet spot can be helpful). Your catch can provide health or shield boosts! Floppers (green) and Slurpfish (purple) offer 50 health and shields, respectively, while Small Fry (white) gives 25 health.
You might also reel in weapons or a tin can to throw at enemies. So cast your line, but stay alert—this is still a battle royale, after all, unlike fishing in Minecraft.
Fortnite Fishing Spots
Although you can get lucky and find fish in chests, the best bet is always to find a fishing rod and go fishing by yourself. The number of fishing rods also depends on the spot you select to fish.
So, if you are with your friends, make sure to land on a spot with more fishing rods. Here are all the locations where you can find fishing rods and water bodies to fish in Fortnite:
Northeast of Rebel’s Roost (x6 Rods) North of Classy Courts (x8 Rods) East of Classy Courts (x6 Rods) Grand Glacier Lake (x6 Rods) Mount Olympus Pond (x4 Rods) Nitrodrome River (x1 Rod) Between Brutal Beachhead and Redline Rig (x2 Rods) West of Nitrodrome River (x2 Rods) North of Sandy Steppers (x1 Rod) West of the Map (x2 Rods) Pleasant Piazza River (x2 Rods)
That is all you need to know about fishing in Fortnite. This technique allows you to always get lucky with the best fish or rare guns. Have you caught any rare fish? Tell us in the comments below.
