How To Set Volume Limit On Iphone For Media Playback

Set Volume Limit on iPhone in iOS 18.2

With the new iOS 18.2 beta update, Apple offers a new “Volume Limit” control for the iPhone’s built-in speaker. This feature lets you set a volume limit on your iPhone for media playback. Here’s how to enable Volume Limit on an iPhone:

On your iPhone, open the Settings app and navigate to the Sound & Haptics section. Now, tap on the Volume Limit option. Here, turn on the Limit Maximum Volume toggle. Finally, set a limit on how loud your iPhone speaker can play songs, movies, and other media.

It’s worth knowing that setting a Volume Limit will not affect the speaker volume for Phone calls, FaceTime calls, emergency calls, alarms, ringtones, system sounds, or Find My Sounds. It will only limit the volume level for media playback through the iPhone speakers.
That’s how you can set a volume limit for media playback on an iPhone. At the moment, the iOS 18.2 developer beta is only available on Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhones. However, a future beta should bring this Volume Limit feature for non-AI devices as well. Apple is likely to roll out the stable version of iOS 18.2 for public use in December. What do you think about the new Volume Limit feature in iOS 18.2? We’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
