How To Tell If Someone Unadded You On Snapchat

Method 1: Check Your My Friends List

The My Friends section on Snapchat shows you a list of people you are friends with. If you have been removed by someone, their name won’t show up on this list anymore. This is a major indicator that you have been unfriended by the user. Here’s how you can check this.

Method 2: Camera Replaced by “x” Icon

When you are friends with someone on Snapchat, a camera icon will appear next to their name on the Chat screen. This is a shortcut that lets you quickly capture and send Snaps to your friends.
However, if you see an “x” icon, just like the screenshot above, it means either you did not accept their friend request or they’ve removed you as their friend. If you can recall seeing the camera icon previously, then the answer is obviously the latter. Learn all about the x icon in Snapchat and how you can remove it in our dedicated guide.

Method 3: No Information on the Profile Page

Visiting other’s profile pages on Snapchat is a good way to learn about your friendship with them on the app. The profile page shows someone’s Avatar, Snapscore, the Snapstreak between you and this person, their birthday, saved Snaps, horoscope, and charms.
But if the only thing visible to you on their profile is their Snapchat avatar, it is likely that they’re no longer friends with you. Here is how you can check someone’s profile page on Snapchat.

Method 4: Calling Options are Missing

Snapchat lets you make calls and video calls on the platform similar to WhatsApp. The shortcuts for the two are available on the top right side of every chat window as you can see from this screenshot.
When someone has unadded you on Snapchat, these options also go away. Use the steps below to check this.

Method 5: Story is No Longer Visible

Stories shared by your friends are visible in the Stories section under the Friends label. But when they remove you as a friend, their stories also stop showing up for you. This is because Snapchat only allows users to share stories with people they are friends with. You can check this by following these steps: If their stories don’t show up for a while on Snapchat but they are active on other apps, they may have removed you from the app.

Method 6: Delivered Snaps are Not Opened

You may think that if someone unfriends you, you won’t be able to send them new Snaps or texts anymore, but that’s not the case in Snapchat. Your Snaps still go through and show as “Delivered“. However, the other person will not receive them if they have removed you. This means, your sent messages won’t appear as “Opened” until they add you back.
It’s reasonable to assume the other person is busy, but if they don’t watch your Snaps for a while, it’s likely that are not friends with you on Snapchat.
Aside from all of the methods discussed above, I believe the best thing to do is if you suspect that someone has removed you as a friend then you should give them a call at least, if possible. If that option is not available for you, these methods should suffice.
However, if you feel that the other person has blocked you on Snapchat, here is a guide to help you figure that out. Let us know if you found any of the above options helpful in the comments below.
