How To Unmute Notes On Instagram

There are two ways to go about unmuting someone’s Instagram Notes – from either in-app settings or someone’s Instagram Profile. Now, since the Android and iOS apps for Instagram have a similar interface, we’ve used an Android phone to outline the steps for both these methods.

Method 1: Unmute Instagram Notes from the Settings

Once you head over to the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android device, follow these steps: While Instagram lets you view Notes across all platforms, you can only unmute someone’s Notes from its Android or iPhone apps. The web version, desktop app, and Instagram Lite mobile app doesn’t give you the option to unmute Notes. This way, you don’t have to try and remember the Instagram usernames of those you have muted Notes for since you will see the list here. Additionally, this method also makes it super easy to bulk unmute Notes for Instagram accounts.

Method 2: Unmute Instagram Notes from Someone’s Profile

Now, if you remember the username of the Instagram account you have muted, you can simply search for that account and follow these steps:
Similarly, you can unmute someone’s Instagram Posts and Stories from here. That said, do note that Instagram doesn’t notify the other person when you mute their Notes on the platform. So, you don’t have to worry about that.
