iOS 19 Supported iPhones

According to the report, iOS 19 will be compatible with every iPhone capable of running the current iOS 18. Let’s check out the complete list of iOS 19 compatible devices as per the leak:

Of course, the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup will arrive with iOS 19 right out of the box.
So, the oldest iPhone models supported by the iOS 19 will be the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max, which were launched in 2018. Although many iPhones will be included in the list of devices compatible with iOS 19, not all supported models will necessarily have access to every new feature. According to the report, Apple may reserve some iOS 19 features for the newer iPhone models. So, if you’ve got an older model, you might have to upgrade to a more recent model to enjoy all the iOS 19 features. The current iOS 18 is compatible with all iOS 17-compatible models, and the upcoming iOS 19 is rumored to be compatible with all iPhone models as iOS 18 is. In 2023, iOS 17 dropped support for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.

iPadOS 19 Supported iPads

The report also mentions which iPads will be compatible with iPadOS 19. According to the report, the following iPad models will make it to the list of iPadOS 19-supported devices:

iPad Mini 5 iPad Mini 6 iPad Mini 7 iPad 8th-generation iPad 9th-generation iPad 10th-generation iPad Air 2019 iPad Air 2020 iPad Air M1 2022 iPad Air M2 2024 iPad Pro 2018 iPad Pro 2020 iPad Pro M1 2021 iPad Pro M2 2022 iPad Pro M4 2024

However, the A10-powered iPad 7 and iPad Pro won’t make it to the list of compatible devices as they aren’t powerful enough to handle iOS 19.
Apple is likely to first preview iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 at its annual WWDC in June 2025. The updates will be immediately released in developer beta, followed by the public release in September.
