List of Theme Words for NYT Strands on April 25
If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
BERET FEDORA BONNET TURBAN HELMET BEANIE CROWN
The theme made me wonder if the Strands today was about the different Gen Z slangs out there. If that was the case, the 27-year-old me would have been in a world of trouble. I had a really hard time finding any words on the grids. After a while, I grew impatient and used a hint, which revealed BERET. So, the round today was actually about caps? Very subtle, NYT editors.
Anyway, that cleared all my doubts and I instantly found FEDORA, HELMET, CROWN and TURBAN. Some more searching made me come across BEANIE in the top left, and the final couple of grids gave me HEADWEAR as today’s Spangram. I loved how the Spangram took on the shape of a hat upon connecting it. Very creative, indeed!
Sadly, had to use a hint to get an idea. Anyway, what about you? Did you have to use any hints or was it easy to you? Let me know in the comments down below.
