What Do Polar Bears Eat In Minecraft
Do Polar Bears Eat Anything in Minecraft?
You probably think that polar bears can be tamed or at least bred, but unfortunately, that’s not the case. Polar bears eat nothing and cannot be fed at all in Minecraft. You cannot breed, tame, or lure them with a special food item. As such, there is also no way to speed up the cub’s growth.
What Can You Do with Polar Bears?
Truth be told, polar bears are probably one of the most useless mobs in the game. They simply don’t have any special mechanics. It’s nice to see them populate icy biomes of the blocky worlds, but that’s pretty much it.
You can capture and transport them using a lead to your base for decoration or in a zoo build. The only legitimate use they have is when you kill them. Polar bears will drop salmon or cod sometimes, as well as XP.
Where Can You Find Polar Bears in Minecraft?
Polar bears naturally spawn only in icy Minecraft biomes. Those are:
Snowy plains Ice spikes Frozen Ocean Deep frozen ocean Frozen River (Bedrock edition only) Snowy slopes (Bedrock edition only) Jagged peaks (Bedrock edition only) Frozen peaks (Bedrock edition only)
As you can see, finding this mob on the Bedrock edition is far easier than finding it on the Java edition. However, once you do find it, make sure not to approach if the adult bear is with a cub. In this scenario, the adult will be hostile towards the player. If you damage the cub, all adults within a 41×21×41 area become hostile toward you.
Adult polar bears also turn hostile when alone if the player attacks them first. These ice lovers also naturally attack foxes. They are as fast as a player while swimming, so it can be difficult to outrun them. If you’re wearing no armor, the attacks from polar bears can become rather deadly, so don’t underestimate them.
