What Is Quordle Everything You Need To Know
What is Quordle? Explained
Let’s begin by finding out what Quordle is. For those fully unaware of the game, Quordle (visit) is a word-guessing game that is four times more difficult than Wordle. It gives out random words every day that players must guess to win. This is done by filling out the empty letter boxes to fill up. While some rules do apply that you will find in Wordle, there are also a couple of differences.
Nonetheless, the hallmark feature of Quordle is that it dishes four random words of the day. This makes this game a lot harder than its popular counterpart. So without even reading further, you can tell that Quordle is an interesting game. However, there are also a couple of differences between Quordle and Wordle. Keep reading to find which ones.
Quordle vs Wordle: What’s the Difference?
While Quordle and Wordle do share some similarities, they have some considerable differences. For starters, as mentioned above, unlike Wordle, which has only a single word to guess, Quordle requires players to guess four different words at once. One could even say that Quordle is Wordle quadrupled.
The game gives you nine chances to guess all the words. While the extra chances might sound nice, they run out quickly when trying to find all the words.
Quordle also has three different modes compared to the ones on Wordle. Players get daily Quordles, which only gives them one chance per day. However, it also has a Sequence mode, which only makes one unsolved word visible at a time. Players get 10 chances instead of nine, and the next board is unlocked after the previous one is solved.
Moreover, there is also a practice mode that gives you unlimited chances, so you can essentially practice all you want without losing progress. This is something a lot of frustrated Wordle users wish for.
Basic Rules to Playing Quordle
If you have gone through our guide on how to play Wordle, you should know that the basic rules remain the same for Quordle too.
Once you enter the words, you will be met by a few highlighted boxes. To simplify it for you, a green box denotes you’ve got the right letter. A yellow box means you have the right letter in the wrong place, and a grey box means the wrong letter altogether.
A good thing that Quordle does is that it shows the correct letters in each word box through its keyboard below. The letters on the keyboard are divided by filled grids depending on their current position. So if the letter has only the bottom right grid filled out, it means it’s only present in the corresponding box below.
As mentioned above, players go through nine different tries to guess the word. Since you have to input a try for all the words at once, it can get quite frustrating.
